Last preparations on the crane before it starts working. Replaced all ropes with 6/8 inch steel wire. The boom pulls a hand winch and the loads are lifted by a 4 ton 12 volt electric winch. |

With the right technique, it is hardly a problem to move the wood. Here I push a 30 ft long log alone over the entire length of the house to its spot. The narrow, dark trees serve as rollers. So it is faster than using the crane. |
